Miele Ninth Floor
The mantra of residential appliance company Miele, Immer Besser (or Forever Better), especially resonates when it comes to sustainability. All of Miele’s products are Energy Star rated and built to last 20 years, says New York showroom manager Lynn Anne Walsman, and its production facilities surpass even the most rigorous environmental regulations.
Miele’s Manhattan showroom in the A&D Building is fully live, unlike most of the building’s other showrooms, says Walsman. “We welcome clients to come in and try out our appliances. Bring in your own plates and try the dishwasher. Bring in a load of laundry.” The fact that there are no sales representatives in the showroom also adds a comforting element since there is no pressure to buy, adds Walsman.
Some of Miele’s latest offerings include the DG4082 convection steam oven with touch-control pad and food-driven menu system; a new built-in coffee system with smudge-proof Clean Touch Steel and an integrated milk tank; and the LaPerla dishwasher, equipped with auto-close technology and a CleanAir drying system.
