Founder of Dennis Wedlick Architect
Dennis Wedlick is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and is a LEED AP who invests "a significant amount of resources into exploring state-of-the-art green design for both our clients and for our own advocacy projects," he said.
All of Wedlick's architectural projects feature green interior design features. The firm provides all services, including landscape design and housing consultation.
Wedlick's company accomplished the first certified passive house project in New York, know as the Hudson Passive Project (see slideshow). The term "passive house" describes a house that meets the standards for energy efficiency established by the German Passivhaus Institut. Passive houses are very well insulated, virtually air tight, and primarily heated by the sun and the people living in them. Wedlick believes passive houses can reduce energy consumption by 90 percent.

Wedlick believes interior design has benefited from the recent dip in our economy because it's provided an opportunity to explore cost-effective, high value solutions.
"More and more, it is clear that value will be the highest priority for interior design for a long, long time," Wedlick said.
