POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) said videos have been posted online from the Spring Webinar Series entitled “Building a Successful Business.” The series, moderated by Andi Gray, president of Strategy Leaders, covered a diverse array of topics designed to help business grow and prosper.

The topics and speakers included Andi Gray of “Ask Andi” fame, presenting “Developing goals into an overall marketing and sales plan.” The series continued with Josh Sommers of Focus Media presenting “Using Social Media, which is best for you.” Next was Frank Surdey, Managing Economist with NYS Department of Labor presenting “Workforce Intelligence for Business and concluded with a presentation on “Succession Planning” with Larry Holfelder, CPA of Disciplined Wealth Advisors LLC.

“This is a great example of Dutchess County EDC using the latest technology to provide topical educational information to businesses,” said County Executive William Steinhaus.

Webinars are becoming a popular teaching tool, which some are predicting will become more common.

“The popularity of the sessions indicates a trend in how business leaders want to learn," said Catherine Maloney, director of business development for DCEDC. "We will continue to provide opportunities using the webinar format.”
